Abortion

Views from around the universe

Abortion = taking responsibility for the future of a child and the health of the would-have-been parents

Abortion = let those who say they care for the life of every child pay for those children who lack love, support and sometimes even a home, because their biological parents were forced into a role they were not ready for and might never be.

body, the

Views from around the universe

The body = is remarkable. Also remarkable is how humans seem to have trouble with their bodies. Instead of celebrating all the body is capable of some decry it as evil. How can something as wondrous as the body be evil? Not to mention that the whole concept of evil is questionable.

The body = is strange. And as I write this my colon sends out a moan as if to protest the words I write. But it is strange. For example: it needs a certain amount of sugar. Why does it keep craving sugar when it has had its fill? Or, the body needs exercise, then why does it send out a wave of tiredness when the sunshine suggests a walk? Or, the body needs sleep, and yet it wakes up before it has had its fill. That is strange.

The body = Often, humans on planet Earth seem unhappy with their bodies. And they seem eager to compare and categorise not just their bodies but the bodies of other humans, too. We watched this behaviour for a while to discover the benefits of such actions. But we couldn’t find any.

dignity

Views from around the universe

dignity = Our forbearers say that dignity came into the universe as part of every living being, creature and nature alike. And thus we treat everything that is living with respect. We are appalled that so much on planet Earth is denied its inherent dignity.

dignity = There is beauty and wisdom in dignity. Alas it is something that can be taken, trampled on and broken, and therefore needs to be treated with care. Only the stupid would deny another living being their dignity.

dignity = Interestingly, the body, sexuality and dignity are connected.

divisions

Views from around the universe

divisions = if we are talking human flaws, then the human’s apparent need to create divisions must count as one of the big ones. Earth humans divide themselves into those with or without a vagina, those with small or long penises, those with a love for women and those with a love for men, and then they divide this group into those women who love men and those who love women … and that’s only a small portion of all the divides humans have thought up. Makes us wonder whether they don’t have anything better to do.

divisions = We admit, when we first saw the vast earthling’s talent to create destructive divisions, we were a bit smug, failing to see that we too had fallen for some divisions which weren’t necessary and once removed added more ease to our society, such as the division between those who grew a beard and those who shaved. It had been a thoughtless, needless division, handed down from generation to generation. When we as society spoke about it, we went through a rather comical time where people experimented with their hair growth. Today, anyone is free to be bearded or shaven or stubbly or even wear a fake beard.

divisions = In the universe, our planet is known for its sometimes annoying accuracy. Therefore, when the first reports about the divisions on planet Earth reached us, we waved the remarks away. Divisions are, after all, a way to bring order into chaos, to give clarity, to help to understand. However, as in every society, there are always those who take a closer look at a report and then decide to investigate the issue themselves. As a result, what we found on planet Earth shocked the very foundations of our society. Never before have we seen any attempt at order to be misused in order to repress fellow humans, to wage wars, to actually create more chaos instead of finding any understanding.

families

Views from around the universe

families = It took us centuries to work out how families can work for all concerned.

families = This is a tricky field but unfortunately families are at the roots of many problems.

families = Our ancestors did some marvellous work, testing all sorts of family constellations and settings. Today we can offer our young generations insights into twenty-four models from which they can learn and then create their own family life, or, of course, they can stay in the family they grew up in. Though, in our experience it is often better to let the young swarm and instead offer the place in the family to another young couple. In other words, we found that blood relations can stand in the way of a happy family life.

sex

Views from around the universe

sex = Interestingly, sex ages well.

sex = It is surprising that humans, after millennia of practise, still seem to struggle with the pleasures of having sex. All to often it seems like they first read a book: How to have sex? and then follow it word by word instead of exploring the body and desires of their lover and being explored in return.

sex = It’s amazing how energising sex can be, even more so when love is involved.

shame

Views from around the universe

shame = A puzzle. Why would anyone be ashamed of any body part?

shame = We discovered that shame can be overcome when it is called out. After all, shame is irrational.

shame = Shame opens the door to stupid minds who use it to offend.
